Privacy

This is a courtesy translation. The Norwegian version of this privacy notice is the binding one; if the two differ, the Norwegian text applies.

Takstkompass never receives and never stores anything about patients. The service is built so that there is nowhere to put it.

What we store

  • Your name and e-mail address, so you can sign in.
  • Your HPR number, which you provide yourself.
  • The language you have chosen, so the site meets you in the same language next time.
  • The takst codes you have checked, and which conditions you ticked — time of day, documented time spent and confirmed conditions.
  • Technical details about your sign-in, such as IP address and browser, for security.

What we never store

Nothing about your patients. The database has no fields for patient names, national identity numbers, diagnoses or clinical notes.

If you type anything other than takst codes in the search field, it is discarded before the check is stored. Only the codes themselves go on — the raw text you typed is never stored or logged.

Sharing

We do not sell information and do not share it with others for marketing. If you sign in with Google, Google learns that you signed in with us — but nothing about what you have looked up.

Payment is handled by Stripe, which then receives your name, e-mail address and card details directly from you. We only learn whether the subscription is active, plus a customer ID at Stripe. Card details are never stored with us.

E-mail about the account itself — confirming your address and the link to set a new password — is sent through Resend, which then receives your name and e-mail address. We never send anything about what you have looked up.

If you provide an HPR number, we look it up in the health personnel register at Norsk helsenett to see that it holds an active medical licence. Only the number is sent. We store the answer — status, category and time — and never check national identity numbers.

The service runs at Vercel, which also provides our visit statistics. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device: we see which pages are visited and how many visit them — never who, and never what you have looked up.

Account details and check history live in a database at Neon, in a data centre in Frankfurt. Both the database and the servers running the service are therefore inside the EU/EEA. Neon receives nothing beyond what we store ourselves, and has no access of its own to use it.

Cookies

We use two: one that keeps you signed in, and one that remembers the language you chose. Neither follows you to other sites, and we use no cookies for marketing or tracking.

Your rights

You can see and change your details under My account. If you delete the account, the profile and the entire check history are removed permanently from the database.
