Accessibility statement

Takstkompass should be usable by everyone who codes claims, including with the keyboard alone, with a screen reader, with enlarged text, or without being able to tell colours apart. This page says where we stand — including what is not right.

Status

The site is built and tested against WCAG 2.2 level AA. We believe the requirements are met on the pages listed below, but we have not had an external audit, so this statement is our own assessment.

Last reviewed September 26, 2026.

What is tested

These pages are run against axe-core on every test run, in both languages and in both light and dark colour modes. The test fails if there is a single violation of severity “serious” or “critical”.

  • The front page
  • The profession pages, both the live one and one on the waitlist
  • The code set and a single takst page
  • Sign-in and sign-up
  • The takst check, with and without a result
  • The blog
  • The admin panel

The pages are also measured at 320 and 640 pixels wide. The test fails if the page has to be scrolled sideways. A table that scrolls inside itself is allowed — the calculator is six columns of money, and it is the table that scrolls, not the page.

Manual review

Automated tests do not find everything. We also go through these points by hand:

  • The whole service is used with the keyboard alone, from “Skip to main content” to a submitted takst check.
  • The focus indicator is visible on every focusable element, in both colour modes.
  • The mobile menu closes with Escape and returns focus to the button that opened it.
  • The hero demo stops with the pause button, and does not start at all when the operating system asks for reduced motion.
  • Screen reader: the summary under the hero demo says what the demo says, and a submitted result is announced without focus moving.

What we know is not right

We list this rather than letting you find it yourself.

  • The calculator is a table with six columns. It is correctly marked up and can be read cell by cell, but on a small screen it has to be scrolled sideways. It is the table that scrolls, not the page.
  • The charts in the admin panel are also available as tables, but the admin panel is English only.
  • Verbatim quotes from the takst code set stay in Norwegian in the English edition too. They are marked with lang="nb", so a screen reader reads them with Norwegian pronunciation, but an English reader does not get the quote translated. That is deliberate: a translated source is not the source.
  • This statement and the legal pages in English are courtesy translations. The Norwegian versions are the binding ones.

Tell us

If you hit something that does not work — an element you cannot reach with the keyboard, text that disappears when enlarged, a screen reader that gets nothing sensible — write to kontakt@takstkompass.no. Say what you were using and where it happened. We answer, and we fix it.

This statement covers takstkompass.no. The admin panel is an internal tool and is not publicly available.
